ADMISSION PROCESS & CRITERIA
Our admissions policy states the criteria and standards required for students to gain admissions to the College. Students must meet the following:
Academic requirements
- Students seeking admissions to Year 7(JS1) class must be 10 years or older by September of their admission year. A copy of birth certificate or sworn declaration of age must be submitted to the admission officer.
- Students seeking entrance must score an average of 50% in their written and oral Entrance Examinations into the school.
- All applicants seeking admission into other classes apart from Year 7(JS1) class, must also score a minimum of 50% aggregate score in their Admission Examination. A copy of their report score from their previous school must be submitted to the school’s admission officer .
- If admission is being sought into SS1, a copy of the Junior Secondary School Certificate Examination Results should also be submitted to the school’s Admission Officer .
- Sapphire Stones College is an English speaking school and all students must demonstrate proficiency in English language prior to admission.
Special requirements
- Parents should notify the school on admission if their child(ren) has/have any specific health conditions or allergy.
- All Senior Secondary Students offering subjects involving the use of the science laboratories must have a laboratory coat to be worn for protection at every practical class
- The school’s Code of Conduct, Child’s Protection and Safeguarding, Anti-bullying Policies will be given to every student upon admission to be signed by their parents
